  • Excessive Sweating Treatment
    By: TYLER ZIGGLER

Excessive sweating treatment is hard to come by. The medical community hasn't really come up with any good solutions to the problem. They all involve surgery and never really address why the excessive sweating is actually occurring. In the United States alone, an estimated 2% of people suffer from this problem. That's a lot of people to have a problem where the isn't much of a solution available. I've done some research to help solve my own problem with this and I'm going to share with you what I've found out.

Iontophoresis is one of the excessive sweating treatments that you can receive. It's really just a fancy word for saying that you drive electricity through your skin and through your sweat glands. This shock will cause the sweat glands to close off for roughly a week. It isn't a long term solution, so you'll have to repeatedly do it every week. I'm not a fan of this solution because it doesn't really help you slow down excessive sweating, it just cuts it off, which I feel is unhealthy.

Botox is a recently FDA approve method for treating excessive sweating, even though I don't think it's a good solution. Botox is most popular for it's use in removing wrinkles for the face. It works simply, you just inject it under the skin and it kills the nerves, which causes the skin to pull tighter. Same applies here except it kills the sweat glands. My goal isn't to kill sweat glands, but to make my sweating more natural.

All these methods of excessive sweating treatment don't really address the main issue of why it is happening. We don't want to eliminate sweating all together, but to make it healthy. There are natural ways of doing this. I learned that the food I was eating actually enabled me body to get hotter, by simply eliminating them, I was able to stop my excessive sweating.
