I wanted to take the time to talk to you about methods to jump higher. You will have some great dunking abilities if you precede to work at these exercises. The dunk isn't a necessity for basketball, but it is a great way to boost your team and get everyone pumped up. There is also the added benefits of being able to run faster, get rebounds and your three point shooting will be even better. Training methods to jump higher are what is going to take you from ordinary to extraordinary. I'm going to show you exactly what you're going to need to do.I'm going to give you one of the most simple exercises you can do, but don't let the simplicity fool you, this is going to be one of the hardest things you do, so put a lot of effort into it. All you have to do is walk around on the tips of your toes for 30 minutes. Try it. The first few minutes might be easy, but you'll start hurting very quick. I you can last the full 30 minutes, try walking backwards as an advanced method.
My last method for jumping higher is all about weighted calf exercises. My favorite is the standing calf press. There is a machine for this where you have to push up onto the tips of your toes, with weight. The key to doing this properly is pushing with extreme speed. You don't jump high by doing it slowly, you have to push fast, so do that was you work your calves because it'll train them properly.
