    Partnerships and marriages aren't the only suffers of snoring but also the person snoring and every single person that has to endure the snoring. Snoring is a problem that has been plaguing us as a people for centuries. Everything from nose strips, surgery, and special pillows have been said to eliminate snoring , but what REALLY works?

    Why do I snore?

    The biggest reason that people snore is because of obesity, but in fact there are many reasons that people snore including an irregular uvula, enlarged tonsils , getting older/aging body, allergies, or simply sleeping on your back are just some of the reasons that people snore nightly. Obese people's throats get blocked off from fatty tissue while they sleep, this is said to be the leading reason why people snore. Older people's throats have almost the same problem, the skin in aged people's throats is aged and it loses it's elasticity, covering the breathing lane. The uvula is the hanging part when you look at the back of your throat. This can dangle irregularly at night and cause restriction of the breathing passage hence causing snoring. Sleeping on your back causes fatty tissues or just tissues to rest on the back of the throat blocking the passage way causing you to snore.

    End Harmful snoring

    There are many helpful things that you can do to prevent snoring.

    1. Raise your head by getting a bigger pillow or using multiple pillows to help stop snoring.

    2. Make sure that you don't take sleeping pills, tranquilizers, antihistamines or drink alcohol right be for you go to bed, this makes your mucus relax and lowers your air passage.

    3. Avoid diary products right before you go to bed, they make your mucus build up, clogging your throat.

    4. If you are overweight- losing weight will always help.

    5. Try to make a sleep routine that you follow.

    6. Eat some honey before you go to bed, Chinese have used this technique for thousands of years and it works great!

    7. Don't eat a big meal before you go to bed, your stomach will end up pushing your diaphragm up and restrict your breathing making you snore.

    8. Avoid eating rich food like pizza, cakes, chocolate, cookies and anything really buttery.

    9. Inhale steam before sleeping or sleep in the same room as a humidifier. This will moisturize the throat and reduce congestion.

    10. Buy some nasal strips and apply them before going to bed, they will open your nostrils allowing more air to pass through.

    Snoring not only does damage to your living situation with everyone else in the house but is proven to be directly related to deadly diseases like diabetes, erectile dysfunction, high blood pressure, and strokes, the regular snorer can even fall into the more serious illness called sleep apnea. This effects almost 22% of chronic snorers. Snoring is an issue that people once had to deal with. Know with or society's advances we know have a solution.
