  • What is the Medifast 5? Here is What You Need to Know

    In this article we are going to take a quick look at the Medifast 5. Many diets have their own set of terminology, jargon and other seemingly "foreign" language that leaves the casual observer in the dark...and often INTIMIDATED about learning more. So let's examine a little bit more about this particular program, and see if we can't shed some light on what you should expect when diving into the wild and wonderful world of losing weight and feeling great...the MEDIFAST way!     The Medifast 5 simply refers to the number of meals you are going to be having during the day. You are actually going to be having 6 meals in total, but 5 of these will be selected from the 60 different shakes, bars, soups, puddings, oatmeal's and MUCH more. You will also be having a meal you prepare by YOURSELF, which is called the "lean and green" meal.

    The Medifast 5 are obviously pretty self explanatory, as you will be picking them from the delicious selections outlined above. The lean and green meal is going to be a lean beef, fish or chicken ( a solid source of protein) and vegetables of your choosing...which is the green part of the equation. Many of us who have used the Medifast diet love the combination of BOTH elements above, as the prepared foods are FABULOUS, but the daily "real" meals add a practical and sensible way to integrate good eating habits into a real diet plan...and one that you can rely on for YEARS to come. A win win across the board!
