The question in that single moment of revelation – when the life you have been living doesn’t present the challenges or the satisfaction you always thought it would – is a special time. For many people it can result in a series of disappointments and frustration. Others start dreaming in that moment, wondering what they can do with their lives that would make them truly happy. Others still take a leap and reclaim their lives, creating something for themselves. It is this final route that can lead to the most possible happiness and this route that I personally found and have followed in the past two years.

Dreaming every night of what life could be, regardless of the big paychecks or the important positions, is a position that many people find themselves in and while some cynics will say they are only dreaming of the other side of the fence – that which they do not have – I would completely disagree. People are not dreaming of another life because it is what they do not have – they are dreaming of another life because it is what they have always wanted. Unfortunately, too many people forget what they wanted and follow a path filled with noise all around them. They succumb to the allures of traditional success and forget what their true dreams were, what they wanted to create for themselves.

Because, when you break down every individual to their most core beliefs and basic desires in life, they want nothing more than to create something for themselves. Few people want to be just another cog in a massive machine that continues to turn endlessly; they want to build their own wheel and experiment with new uses for it. They want to create their own lives and travel down a path of their choosing to destinations they have always wanted to visit.

The definition of “create” is: to bring something into existence or to cause something to happen as a result of one’s actions. Creation is a quintessential dream for nearly every individual in society. Even if you do not know it, there is something deep within you that yearns to break free and create and it is only when you are able to recognize this desire and follow your dreams that you can start to uncover your true sources of happiness. When a person has full control of their life, they begin to create the life they could only dream of.
