Do you wonder how come it is that some people are naturally overweight while other people can remain skinny while eating twice as much? The eye opening fact is that your daily total calorie intake is not the only deciding factor on whether you become overweight or stay skinny.First you must understand that there are three main types of calories that can be consumed daily such as, carbohydrates otherwise called carbs, fat and protein. Your body does not just heed to how much calorie you consume a day, but rather your body pays attention to how much of each type of calorie that you consume. Say for instance you consume the daily recommended calorie in more of sugar based calories, your body will not be able to utilise all of the sugar based calories so what happens is that the excess will be stored as fat tissue.
Even staying within your daily recommended calorie but too many wrong combinations, can lead to you gaining more weight and wondering what exactly is going on. This is the reason many people who are obsessed remain overweight their whole lives even though they eat less than their skinny counterparts.
Though it is true that some people naturally have slow metabolism which results in them putting on weight faster than others, they can still lose weight and maintain it by eating the right type of calories each day in the right proportion. You see for your body to function well it needs all three types of calories we mentioned above, but does not need them in the same proportion.
It is even more surprising to some people when they are told that some type fat calories can speed up weight loss while some other supposed fat free foods can actually result in weight gain if eaten too often. This complication is the reason why most people suffer obesity all their lives without being able to find a definite solution to the problem.
