    If you are a body builder, more than likely if you don't have any stretch marks already, you're going to end up having some in the future. You see, as the muscles grow fast, it can actually stretch and damage the skin, causing stretch marks that are a result of bodybuilding. While they do show that your workouts are being effective, more than likely you would like to get rid of them. If you're growing fast, then stretch marks are going to occur, and whether you pack on muscle or fat, you can expect to deal with stretch marks. Most bodybuilders who end up getting stretch marks have them in the chest area as well as on their arms. This is an area where quick muscle development occurs, so it is very vulnerable to getting stretch marks.

    Not sure what stretch marks are? Well, basically stretch marks are purplish or reddish marks or scars that form on the skin when the tissue underneath grows too fast. The dermis actually tears, causing scar, which show up as stretch marks. Stretch marks are definitely not that great to look at, which is why so many people are trying to reduce them or cover them up. So, if you aren't happy with your stretch marks and you want to do something to help keep them from showing as much, here are several important tips that can really help you out.

    Lotion with High Vitamin E Content

    You'll find that using lotion that has high Vitamin E content can be helpful for helping to treat and diminish the stretch marks that you are dealing with. Vitamin E is essential to your skin and it has healing properties as well. Applying it each day to the area of your skin that is affected can really help to heal and diminish the appearance of your stretch marks.

    Get Plenty of Vitamins and Minerals

    It is so important that you body gets all the vitamins and minerals that it needs so you can have skin that is very healthy. One way that you can do this is to eat a diet that is very healthy and balanced. However, you may not be able to get all of the vitamins and minerals that you need from diet alone. So, you may need to take a multi vitamin and some mineral supplements to make sure you get everything that you need for skin that is healthy.

    A Fake Tan

    If you're frustrated with the stretch marks and you can't seem to get rid of them, then a fake tan may be just the thing for you. There are many suntan lotions and oils out there that can help you get a tan without having to go out in the damaging rays of the sun. These lotions can give you a nice tan that will make your stretch marks a lot less obvious.

    So, even if you are body building on a regular basis, there are ways that you can treat your stretch marks and cover them up. Sure, they may be battle scars, but you probably really don't want the world to see them. So, use these tips to diminish the appearance of your stretch marks.
