I quit smoking for myself and my family. There's so many diseases out there from smoking today - it really shocked me. Keep one thing in mind: if you're going to use chemically-related products to quit smoking, be sure to consult your doctor first. They can have some nasty side-effects. If you've already made the choice to quit smoking, congrats! You've already came one step forward on your success to recover from smoking! To quit smoking, you eventually have to get off the nicotine, and withdrawal from nicotine can be EXTRAORDINARILY unpleasant.

    Smoking

Smoking is estimated to be responsible for 30% of all cancer deaths and specifically related to about 87% of lung cancer cases. Smoking, like any addiction, especially addictions that involve chemicals, is a sickness. After smoking for many, many years, I can tell you from first-hand experience that smoking definately becomes a part of yourself...and who you are. Smoking sometimes happens to be the root cause of all bad habits. Smoking can tremendously raise your risk of high blood pressure and other aeortic problems.

    The drug

Nicotine has been scientifically proven to be more addictive than heroin, and is of the more commonly used chemicals in the United States of America. Nicotine addiction has controlled many people's lives, and continues to overpower many people's every day habits today. Most dependency scientists now rank nicotine as earth's most addictive drug. You may have questions about nicotine addiction and how to quit. You must truely see the harmful effects of this nasty drug.

    Breathing

After approximately 90 days from the day you quit smoking cigarettes, you'll notice a great improvement on breathing - about 33%! While smoking, the risk for lung cancer continues to rise. But after you stop your risks will really fall...and even smooth out to a normal level again! Of course the ones that smoke filterless cigarettes will have greater chances than those who smoke the filter-tip cigarettes.

    Getting support

You can get support in many ways: Make sure your co-workers & friends know you're gonna quit. Also let them know you would appreciate their guidance. Make sure you give yourself enough information on tobacco use and be patient with yourself. Giving up smoking can seem like a real chore, but stick with it and be fair and patient to yourself.

    Cessation

Unfortuntately, many many people quit a smoking cessation plan and give up too soon. Remember: it all starts in your head. From there it will go to your physical body.

    Concluding for now...

When you quit smoking try eating healthier. Most people try to quit smoking several times before they kick the habit for good, so don?t beat yourself up if you start smoking again.
