  • Misdiagnosed Yeast Infection in Females And Why You Should B
    By: PETE NOOPY

Most often than not, yeast infections experienced by most women are commonly misdiagnosed. When women believe that they have yeast infection when in fact they have not, they are actually causing much damage than they have had before. Here are some common misconception and misdiagnosed yeast infection for females.

    • Most of us think that when there is an experience of slight itching in our genital parts, we would already connect it to some kind of yeast infection when actually there is really none. Slight itching could normally happen in these areas too. All you need to do is get some gentle soap and warm water to cleanse the itch away.

    • When we have experienced the slightest sign of yeast infection, such as the whitish and thick discharge, most of us would buy over the counter drugs, suppositories and fungal creams. However, this could actually be damaging since too much of these medical treatment could actually destroy the natural barrier which protects our reproductive tract from serious infections.

    • To avoid the spread of yeast infection, some of us think of cleansing it with a lot of douches or vaginal washes. This act, however, could actually worsen the case of yeast infection as it may cause damage which is much worse than before. In addition to that, the use of antibiotics for people who experience recurrent yeast infection might just be doing the wrong thing. One must remember that antibiotics aggravate yeast infection, no matter if it is only a single pill.

    • Studies have shown that three out of five women would immediately consult a doctor for their hypothetical theory that they are already infected with candidiasis when in fact they are only nearing their monthly menstrual period. In fact, the whitish discharge is commonly assumed to be a symptom of yeast infection. There is such a thing as "white mens", a vaginal white discharge before your menstrual period comes.

    • On the other hand, some women would already panic when they experience this common fungal infection and there are still those who are not even affected with the recurring symptoms. When there is already a danger of a sexually transmitted disease, most of us would just self-prescribe and buy anti-fungal creams wherein we should actually be consulting with the doctors. If you are practicing unsafe methods of intercourse and you are already dealing with signs of skin rashes, itching and discharge then now is the time to go to your doctor. It might actually be something which needs a more different treatment than mere fungal infection.

    • Symptoms like pain while urinating, painful intercourse and vaginal discharge are very common to most women. Mostly, they would tend to cure and heal themselves without even taking medicines or treatments. However, when symptoms kept on recurring even when you have undergone into medical treatments, you are actually causing much damage to your self.

It would still be best to consult your gynecologist first to further assist your reproductive health. You'll never know when the REAL thing would actually hit you.
